This policy explains what FlashDL collects when you use the Website, what it does not collect, and the choices you have. It is written plainly rather than in legal language, because a policy nobody reads protects nobody.

Interpretation
Words with an initial capital letter have the meaning given below. Those definitions apply whether they appear in the singular or the plural.
Definitions
- Company (“We”, “Us”, “Our”) refers to FlashDL.
- Website refers to FlashDL, reachable at flashdl.one.
- Service refers to the Website and the download tool it provides.
- Device means anything used to reach the Service — a phone, tablet or computer.
- Personal Data means information relating to an identified or identifiable person.
- Usage Data means information collected automatically by the Service or its infrastructure, such as a server log entry.
- Service Provider means a company that processes data on Our behalf, such as a hosting or network provider.
- You means the person using the Service.
What we collect
Information you give us
None. There is no account, no registration and no sign-up form. We do not ask for your name, your email address or a password, and there is nothing on the Website that requests payment details.
Usage data
Like nearly every website, our web server records ordinary request information: the IP address the request came from, the time it arrived, which page was requested, and the browser and operating system reported by your device. This is standard server logging, used to keep the Service running and to investigate faults.
The link you paste
When you paste a video address, our server passes it to the service that finds the download options and returns the result to you. The address is used for that request. We do not keep a record linking you to the videos you look up, and we do not build a profile of your activity.
Cookies and tracking
We set no cookies of our own for advertising or preferences, and we keep no record of which videos you look up. Our network provider may set a cookie of its own to distinguish automated traffic from real visitors; that is described below.
How we use what we collect
- To provide the Service — reading the link you paste and returning the download options for it.
- To keep it working — diagnosing errors, investigating outages and monitoring for abuse of the Service.
- To meet legal obligations — where we are required by law to retain or produce information.
We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not send marketing messages, because we have no way to contact you in the first place.
Who we share it with
We share information only with Service Providers who need it to run the Website, and only for that purpose:
- Our hosting provider, which operates the server the Website runs on.
- Our network provider, which sits in front of the Website to protect it and speed it up. It processes requests on Our behalf under its own privacy terms and may set a cookie to tell real visitors from automated traffic.
- The download service we call to read a pasted link. It receives the video address; it does not receive anything identifying you.
We have no parent company, subsidiaries or affiliates to share data with, and the Service has no public areas where one user can see another user’s information.
How long we keep it
- Server logs — kept for a short period for security and troubleshooting, then rotated and deleted automatically.
- The lookup cache — the details of a video (its title, length and the file sizes available) are held on our server for about ten minutes and then discarded. The cache is keyed by the video, not by the person who asked, so it contains nothing personal.
- Account records — none exist, because there are no accounts.
We may keep information longer only where it is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.
The video files
We do not host, copy or store the videos themselves. When you choose a quality you are given a link, and the file travels from wherever it is already hosted directly to your device. Nothing passes through our storage.
Where your information is processed
The Website runs on servers located in Europe and is reached through a global network, so a request may be handled in a country other than your own, where data protection law may differ. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers and take reasonable steps to see that your information is handled securely wherever it is processed.
Your choices and requests
Because there is no account, there is no profile to edit or delete. If you believe we hold information relating to you — a server log entry, for instance — you may ask us what we hold and ask us to delete it, and we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it. When we may disclose information
We may disclose information where we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, to respond to a valid request from a public authority, to protect the rights or property of the Company, to investigate possible wrongdoing connected with the Service, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
Security
The Website is served over HTTPS, and because there are no accounts there is no password of yours for anyone to lose. We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, but no method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children and minors
The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it. Where the law applying to a user sets a higher age for consent, we may require a parent or guardian’s consent instead.
Links to other websites
The Service returns links to files hosted elsewhere, and may link to sites we do not operate. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any change is published on this page and takes effect once posted, so it is worth reviewing occasionally.
